How to tie a Bow Tie
Start with the bow tie draped around the neck, with one end about two inches longer than the other.
Tie a simple, over-hand knot.
Fold the short end accordion-style, so that it lays flat. Pin the middle of this end with your finger. This point is where the knot will lay.
Wrap the long end over the flat, folded short end at the middle point.
Pull both wings, or bow ends, in one hand to the front.
Thread the hanging long end though the small hole at the base of the neck created by pulling the wings forward. Tighten.
